Order of the Eastern Star: Member Reflections

Grand Matron Kathy Sanford

I am a Sister in the Order of the Eastern Star because I wanted to be a part of an organization that promotes unity, love, and charity. Through the Morning Star Grand Chapter, I have built nonjudgmental and unwavering bonds with my Sisters and Brothers. I am a Sister in the Order of the Eastern Star because I wanted to be a part of an organization that promotes unity, love, and charity. Through the Morning Star Grand Chapter, I have built nonjudgmental and unwavering bonds with my Sisters and Brothers. This Sisterhood is a group of women from all walks of life who share the same beliefs and values. Our common goals are to uplift women, advocate for the voiceless, engage in community service to provide charitable contributions to those in need, and have a positive impact on our communities. I am proud to take up the mantle passed on from my Elders and pray that the good works I do will leave a lasting legacy for future generations.

Being a member of the Order of the Eastern Star has provided me with a profound sense of sisterhood and a community that feels like family. It is more than just an organization; it is a space where we support one another through life’s triumphs and challenges, all while engaging in community service to make a meaningful impact. I have learned and embraced the true meaning of 'servant leadership.' Being part of this legacy allows me to mentor others while continuing to be inspired by the wisdom and strength of the sisters around me, especially within the Morning Star Grand Chapter. The bonds I’ve formed here are lifelong, rooted in mutual respect and LOVE.

My experience with the Morning Star Grand Chapter OES has been both meaningful and rewarding. Through leadership, service, and community service, I have had the opportunity to help organize events, support charitable efforts, and encourage unity among Sisters and Chapters. This work requires dedication, communication, and compassion, but

My experience with the Morning Star Grand Chapter OES has been both meaningful and rewarding. The relationships built and the memories created continue to make this journey impactful and inspiring.
